A Fellow of the British Academy, he is a leading expert on the purpose of the corporation and founded the Oxford Rethinking Performance initiative. He chaired Oxera Ltd., co-founded Aurora Energy Research, and has advised UK and international institutions. He led the British Academy’s Future of the Corporation programme. His recent books include Capitalism and Crises (2024) and Putting Purpose into Practice (2022), both published by Oxford University Press.
